Journaling can be so empowering by writing out your feelings, your experiences, and your thoughts. With all that our world has gone through this 2020 year, I wanted to create a product to help you GROW through these unprecedented days with GRACE to create a space for you to write out what your heart desires as you grow through what you go through.
So here are 8 different types of ways you can use your Grow in Grace Journal:
1. PRAYER JOURNAL | BOLDEST PRAYERS
The way we communicate with God is through prayer and it doesn’t just have to be you speaking to him. There’s something truly powerful about writing out your prayers. It’s a great way to look back at what you prayed for and not only see what prayers have been answered and how perfect God’s timing is, but also see that there is also a “no” or “not yet” to other prayers. Any time a prayer has been answered I like to put a date next to it. It’s a reminder to stay hopeful, faithful and patient through seasons of waiting.
2. GRATITUDE JOURNAL | HEARTFELT GRATITUDES
Starting each day with a grateful heart truly makes a difference and can set the tone for your day. Gratitude changes attitude and it’s the first step to elevation because when you focus on what you have it becomes enough. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, start off small and work your way from there. It can be something like receiving a sweet message from a friend, receiving a compliment from a stranger, having a hot cup of coffee in the morning, or having even just 5 minutes of peace and quiet to yourself even if it’s in a closet. Focus on the little things that bring you joy.
3. AFFIRMATIONS JOURNAL | POWERFUL AFFIRMATIONS
Affirmations are simple yet powerful and help you feel confident in who you are. It helps you feel empowered to live out your purpose and reminds you of who God made you to be. Whether you say them aloud or write them out, start your mornings with affirming you you are to set the tone for your day.
4. IDEAS JOURNAL | MOST CREATIVE IDEAS
“Brain dumps” are such a good way to start brainstorming your most creative ideas. Now it’s not just for creative entrepreneurs, artists and makers. Let your mind wander and write out your ideas on DIY home projects, how to transform your spare bedroom into your kid’s at-home classroom, where and how you want to style your rooms with different plants, creating different recipes, you name it. Let the creative juices flow.
5. DREAM JOURNAL | WILDEST JOURNALS
Record your wildest dreams. What do you want to do in 1 year? 5 years? 10 years? What steps do you need to take to get there?
6. GOAL TRACKER JOURNAL | BIGGEST GOALS
Turn your vague desires into clear and defined goals. Plant the seed by writing out your biggest (and even smallest) goals. Set up goals that will push you beyond your comfort zone because that’s where your true potential lies. Push yourself and remember to take one day at a time and give yourself grace.
In order to be successful, your goals must be SMART: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timely. Click here for more detailed information. Now that you’ve set your goals, create a roadmap for how you are going to achieve those goals.
7. TRAVEL JOURNAL | ADVENTUROUS TRAVELS
Are you quite the adventurer & world traveler? Well, journaling is the best way to help bring you back to those memorable moments of where you traveled to, where you stayed, what exotic food you tried, what extreme or leisure activities you did, who you were with, what you felt in those moments. It’s all in the details, right? So, jot them all down so that you can read it later down the road and take a trip down memory lane.
8. WRITING JOURNAL
The sky’s the limit with a writing journal. It’s truly a journal where you can write down literally anything. Keep track of family recipes, write down your favorite quotes, brain dump all the ideas, you name it. The beauty of a writing journal is that it is whatever comes to mind, random or not. Let your creative mind wander.
These are just 8 different ways you can journal, but with an open mind, the possibilities are endless.
